  • One of the most serious conditions for seniors is loneliness. Pets offer companionship, affection, and unconditional love. Caring for them creates a sense of purpose and alleviates feelings of loneliness. Pet parenting has proven health benefits, including promoting exercise, getting outdoors, and socialization, which decrease blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

  • Animals for Elders funds adoption fees, veterinary care, and ongoing qualifying expenses of up to $ 1,500 per year to provide financial support and minimize monetary obstacles for seniors seeking in-home pet companionship.
