One of the most serious conditions for seniors is loneliness. Pets offer companionship, affection, and unconditional love. Caring for them creates a sense of purpose and alleviates feelings of loneliness. Pet parenting has proven health benefits, including promoting exercise, getting outdoors, and socialization, which decrease blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
Animals for Elders funds adoption fees, veterinary care, and ongoing qualifying expenses of up to $ 1,500 per year to provide financial support and minimize monetary obstacles for seniors seeking in-home pet companionship.
