We help elders find joy in welcoming a shelter pet into their lives by removing financial barriers.
Our vision
We’re building a future where financial barriers don’t stand in the way of joy. Where getting older doesn’t mean becoming invisible. We plan to scale nationwide so every elder can find purpose and every shelter animal can find a loving home.

Pets offer companionship, affection, and unconditional love. Caring for them creates a sense of purpose and alleviates feelings of loneliness. Beyond emotional support, pet parenting yields proven physical and mental health benefits, such as encouraging outdoor exercise and boosting socialization, which can significantly improve quality of life.

Animals for Elders funds adoption fees, veterinary care, and ongoing qualifying expenses of up to $ 1,500 per year to provide financial support and minimize monetary obstacles for elders seeking in-home pet companionship.
